Team Donor

The problem

Most fundraising platforms take a cut — anywhere from 3% to 8% of every donation goes to the platform before the team sees a dime. For a team raising $10,000, that's $800 walking out the door. Athletic directors and booster clubs were tired of it, but didn't have an alternative they could trust.

What I built

Team Donor is a fully custom web application that handles the entire fundraising lifecycle — campaign setup, donation processing, donor management, and reporting — with zero platform fees. Stripe handles payments directly; the platform collects nothing beyond what Stripe charges.

How it works

Teams sign up, create a campaign, and share their unique fundraising link. Donors visit the page, give what they want, and receive an automated receipt. 100% of the donation — minus standard Stripe processing — goes directly to the team's account. No platform fee, no monthly subscription, no lock-in.

The result

Teams using Team Donor keep significantly more of every dollar raised compared to traditional platforms. The zero-fee model has become the platform's primary differentiator and the main reason Athletic Directors recommend it to colleagues.
